K ua he koe i ou toto i whakahekea e koe, kua poke i au whakapakoko i hanga e koe; a kua meinga e koe ou ra kia tata, kua tae ano koe ki ou tau: na reira koe i meinga ai e ahau hei tawainga ma nga tauiwi, hei taunutanga ma nga whenua katoa.

In your blood which you have shed you have become guilty, and you are defiled by the idols which you have made, and you have caused your time to draw near and have arrived at the full measure of your years. Therefore have I made you a reproach to the nations and a mocking to all countries.
