A nd whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

“Se um homem deitar-se com uma escrava prometida a outro homem, mas que não tenha sido resgatada nem tenha recebido sua liberdade, aplique-se a devida punição. Contudo não serão mortos, porquanto ela não havia sido libertada.
