t herefore thus saith Jehovah: Thy wife shall be a harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou thyself shalt die in a land that is unclean, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.

De aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Soţia ta va deveni o prostituată în cetate, iar fiii tăi şi fiicele tale vor cădea răpuşi de sabie! Ogorul tău va fi împărţit cu funia de măsurat, şi tu însuţi vei muri pe un meleag necurat. Iar Israel va fi dus, în mod sigur, în captivitate, departe de ţara sa“
