S o Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and made statutes and ordinances for them at Shechem.

فَقَطَعَ يَشُوعُ عَهْداً مَعَ الشَّعبِ فِي ذَلِكَ اليَومِ، وَوَضَعَ لَهُمْ أحكاماً وَقَوانِينَ فِي شَكِيمَ.
