I n Damascus, the city governor acting under King Aretas guarded the city of Damascus to arrest me,

فَعِندَما كُنتُ فِي دِمَشقَ، أمَرَ الوالِي الَّذِي يَعمَلُ تَحتَ سُلطَةِ المَلِكِ الحارِثِ بِحِراسَةِ المَدِينَةِ لِكَي يَقْبِضَ عَلَيَّ.
