1 O o Boqor Daariyus sannaddiisii afraad ayaa eraygii Rabbigu u yimid Sekaryaah maalintii afraad oo bisha sagaalaad, taasoo ah bisha Kislee'u.
And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the Lord came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu;
2 H addaba reer Beytel waxay soo direen Shareser iyo Regem Meleg iyo raggoodiiba inay Rabbiga baryaan,
When they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regemmelech, and their men, to pray before the Lord,
3 i yo inay la hadlaan wadaaddadii guriga Rabbiga ciidammada, iyo nebiyadii, oo ay ku yidhaahdaan, Miyaan bisha shanaad ooyaa, oo miyaan gooni iska dhigaa sidii aan yeeli jiray sannadahan badan oo dhan?
And to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the Lord of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?
4 O o haddana waxaa ii yimid Eraygii Rabbiga oo wuxuu igu yidhi,
Then came the word of the Lord of hosts unto me, saying,
5 W axaad la hadashaa dadka dalka deggan oo dhan iyo wadaaddadaba, oo waxaad ku tidhaahdaa, Markaad soomi jirteen oo aad barooran jirteen bisha shanaad iyo bisha toddobaad, oo ah toddobaatankan sannadood, miyaad innaba aniga ii soomi jirteen?
Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me?
6 O o markaad wax cuntaan, iyo markaad wax cabtaan, miyaydaan nafsaddiinna u cunin oo miyaydaan nafsaddiinna u cabbin?
And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?
7 S ow ma aha erayadii Rabbigu kaga dhex qayliyey nebiyadii hore, markii Yeruusaalem la degganaa oo ay barwaaqada ku dhex jirtay, oo la wada degganaa magaalooyinka hareeraheeda ku wareegsan iyo xagga koonfureed iyo bannaankaba?
Should ye not hear the words which the Lord hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?
8 M arkaasaa eraygii Rabbigu u yimid Sekaryaah, isagoo leh,
And the word of the Lord came unto Zechariah, saying,
9 R abbiga ciidammadu sidan buu ku hadlay oo yidhi, Garsoorid daacad ah naqa, oo nin waluba walaalkiis ha u sameeyo naxariis iyo raxmad.
Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:
10 H ana dulmina carmalka, ama agoonta, ama qariibka, ama masaakiinta, oo midkiinna yuusan qalbiga xumaan ugu fikirin walaalkiis.
And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
11 L aakiinse way diideen inay dhegaystaan, oo intay caasiyeen ayay dhegaha furaysteen, si ayan u maqlin.
But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.
12 O o waxay qalbigoodii ka dhigeen sidii dhagax adag oo kale si ayan u maqlin sharcigii iyo erayadii Rabbiga ciidammadu uu ku soo dhiibay ruuxiisa markuu nebiyadiisii hore soo diray, oo sidaas daraaddeed waxaa Rabbiga ciidammada ka timid cadho weyn.
Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts.
13 O o sidii uu u dhawaaqay oo iyana ay maqli waayeen, sidaas oo kalay u qayliyeen, oo anna ma aan maqlin, ayaa Rabbiga ciidammadu yidhi,
Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the Lord of hosts:
14 l aakiinse waxaan iyaga ku kala firdhiyey dabayl duufaan ah oo waxaan dhex geeyey quruumaha ayan aqoon oo dhan. Sidaasuu dalkii cidla u noqday iyaga dabadood, oo ninna ma dhex marin, ciduna kuma soo noqon, waayo, dalkii wacnaa cidla baa laga dhigay.
But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.
