2 E stes foram os filhos de Coate: Anrão, Isar, Hebrom e Uziel.

And the sons of Kohath; Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

3 E stes foram os filhos de Anrão: Arão, Moisés e Miriã. Estes foram os filhos de Arão: Nadabe, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.

And the children of Amram; Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. The sons also of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

4 E leazar gerou Finéias, Finéias gerou Abisua,

Eleazar begat Phinehas, Phinehas begat Abishua,

5 A bisua gerou Buqui, Buqui gerou Uzi,

and Abishua begat Bukki, and Bukki begat Uzzi,

6 U zi gerou Zeraías, Zeraías gerou Meraiote,

and Uzzi begat Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begat Meraioth,

7 M eraiote gerou Amarias, Amarias gerou Aitube,

Meraioth begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,

8 A itube gerou Zadoque, Zadoque gerou Aimaás,

and Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahimaaz,

9 A imaás gerou Azarias, Azarias gerou Joanã,

and Ahimaaz begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Johanan,

10 J oanã gerou Azarias, que foi sacerdote no templo construído por Salomão em Jerusalém;

and Johanan begat Azariah, (he it is that executed the priest’s office in the temple that Solomon built in Jerusalem:)

11 A zarias gerou Amarias, Amarias gerou Aitube,

and Azariah begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,

12 A itube gerou Zadoque, Zadoque gerou Salum,

and Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Shallum,

13 S alum gerou Hilquias, Hilquias gerou Azarias,

and Shallum begat Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begat Azariah,

14 A zarias gerou Seraías, e Seraías gerou Jeozadaque.

and Azariah begat Seraiah, and Seraiah begat Jehozadak,

15 J eozadaque foi levado prisioneiro quando o Senhor enviou Judá e Jerusalém para o exílio por meio de Nabucodonosor.

and Jehozadak went into captivity, when the Lord carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

16 E stes foram os filhos de Levi: Gérson, Coate e Merari.

The sons of Levi; Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.

17 E stes são os nomes dos filhos de Gérson: Libni e Simei.

And these be the names of the sons of Gershom; Libni, and Shimei.

18 E stes foram os filhos de Coate: Anrão, Isar, Hebrom e Uziel.

And the sons of Kohath were, Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

19 E stes foram os filhos de Merari: Mali e Musi. Estes são os clãs dos levitas alistados de acordo com os seus antepassados:

The sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi. And these are the families of the Levites according to their fathers.

20 D e Gérson: Seu filho Libni, que foi o pai de Jaate, pai de Zima,

Of Gershom; Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,

21 q ue foi o pai de Joá, pai de Ido, pai de Zerá, que foi o pai de Jeaterai.

 Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeaterai his son.

22 D e Coate: Seu filho Aminadabe, pai de Corá, que foi o pai de Assir,

The sons of Kohath; Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son,

23 p ai de Elcana, pai de Ebiasafe, que foi o pai de Assir,

Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son,

24 p ai de Taate, pai de Uriel, pai de Uzias, que foi o pai de Saul.

Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.

25 D e Elcana: Amasai, Aimote

And the sons of Elkanah; Amasai, and Ahimoth.

26 e Elcana, pai de Zofai, pai de Naate,

As for Elkanah: the sons of Elkanah; Zophai his son, and Nahath his son,

27 q ue foi o pai de Eliabe, pai de Jeroão, pai de Elcana, que foi o pai de Samuel.

 Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son.

28 D e Samuel: Joel, o mais velho, e Abias, o segundo.

And the sons of Samuel; the firstborn Vashni, and Abiah.

29 D e Merari: Mali, pai de Libni, pai de Simei, que foi o pai de Uzá,

The sons of Merari; Mahli, Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzza his son,

30 p ai de Siméia, pai de Hagias, que foi o pai de Asaías. Os Músicos do Templo

Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.

31 E stes são os homens a quem Davi encarregou de dirigir os cânticos no templo do Senhor depois que a arca foi levada para lá.

And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.

32 E les ministraram o louvor diante do tabernáculo, da Tenda do Encontro, até quando Salomão construiu o templo do Senhor em Jerusalém. Eles exerciam suas funções de acordo com as normas estabelecidas.

And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

33 E stes são os que ministravam, junto com seus filhos: Dentre os coatitas: O músico Hemã, filho de Joel, filho de Samuel,

And these are they that waited with their children. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman a singer, the son of Joel, the son of Shemuel,

the son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toah,

the son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah,

And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, even Asaph the son of Berachiah, the son of Shimea,

the son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchiah,

44 D entre os meraritas: À esquerda de Hemã, parente dos meraritas, ficava Etã, filho de Quisi, filho de Abdi, filho de Maluque,

And their brethren the sons of Merari stood on the left hand: Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,

45 f ilho de Hasabias, filho de Amazias, filho de Hilquias,

the son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkiah,

46 f ilho de Anzi, filho de Bani, filho de Sêmer,

the son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shamer,

47 f ilho de Mali, filho de Musi, filho de Merari, filho de Levi.

the son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.

48 S eus parentes, os outros levitas, foram encarregados de cuidar de todo o serviço do tabernáculo, o templo de Deus.

Their brethren also the Levites were appointed unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house of God.

49 M as eram Arão e seus descendentes que cuidavam dos sacrifícios no altar do holocausto, das ofertas no altar de incenso e de todo o serviço do Lugar Santíssimo, como também dos sacrifícios de propiciação por Israel, conforme tudo o que Moisés, servo de Deus, tinha ordenado.

But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

50 E stes foram os descendentes de Arão: o seu filho Eleazar, pai de Finéias, que foi o pai de Abisua,

And these are the sons of Aaron; Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,

51 p ai de Buqui, pai de Uzi, que foi o pai de Zeraías,

Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,

52 p ai de Meraiote, pai de Amarias, que foi o pai de Aitube,

Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son,

53 p ai de Zadoque, pai de Aimaás. As Cidades dos Levitas

Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.

54 E stas foram as cidades e as regiões dadas aos levitas para nelas habitarem. Dentre os descendentes de Arão, o clã coatita foi sorteado primeiro;

Now these are their dwelling places throughout their castles in their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot.

55 f oi-lhe dada Hebrom, em Judá, com suas pastagens ao redor.

And they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah, and the suburbs thereof round about it.

56 M as os campos e os povoados em torno da cidade foram dados a Calebe, filho de Jefoné.

But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

57 A ssim os descendentes de Arão receberam Hebrom, cidade de refúgio, e Libna, Jatir, Estemoa,

And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of Judah, namely, Hebron, the city of refuge, and Libnah with her suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa, with their suburbs,

58 H ilém, Debir,

and Hilen with her suburbs, Debir with her suburbs,

59 A sã, Jutá e Bete-Semes, com suas respectivas pastagens.

and Ashan with her suburbs, and Beth-shemesh with her suburbs:

60 E da tribo de Benjamim receberam Gibeão, Geba, Alemete e Anatote, com suas respectivas pastagens. Ao todo treze cidades foram distribuídas entre os seus clãs.

and out of the tribe of Benjamin; Geba with her suburbs, and Alemeth with her suburbs, and Anathoth with her suburbs. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.

61 P ara os demais descendentes de Coate foram sorteadas dez cidades pertencentes aos clãs da metade da tribo de Manassés.

And unto the sons of Kohath, which were left of the family of that tribe, were cities given out of the half tribe, namely, out of the half tribe of Manasseh, by lot, ten cities.

62 P ara os descendentes de Gérson, clã por clã, foram sorteadas treze cidades das tribos de Issacar, de Aser e de Naftali, e da metade da tribo de Manassés que fica em Basã.

And to the sons of Gershom throughout their families out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

63 P ara os descendentes de Merari, clã por clã, foram sorteadas doze cidades das tribos de Rúben, de Gade e de Zebulom.

Unto the sons of Merari were given by lot, throughout their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

64 A ssim os israelitas deram aos levitas essas cidades com suas respectivas pastagens.

And the children of Israel gave to the Levites these cities with their suburbs.

65 A s cidades anteriormente mencionadas dos territórios de Judá, de Simeão e de Benjamim também lhes foram dadas por sorteio.

And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities, which are called by their names.

66 A lguns dos clãs coatitas receberam as seguintes cidades no território da tribo de Efraim:

And the residue of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their coasts out of the tribe of Ephraim.

67 S iquém, cidade de refúgio, nos montes de Efraim, e Gezer,

And they gave unto them, of the cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim with her suburbs; they gave also Gezer with her suburbs,

68 J ocmeão, Bete-Horom,

and Jokmeam with her suburbs, and Beth-horon with her suburbs,

69 A ijalom e Gate-Rimom, com suas respectivas pastagens.

and Aijalon with her suburbs, and Gath-rimmon with her suburbs:

70 E da metade da tribo de Manassés o restante dos clãs coatitas recebeu Aner e Bileã, com suas respectivas pastagens.

and out of the half tribe of Manasseh; Aner with her suburbs, and Bileam with her suburbs, for the family of the remnant of the sons of Kohath.

71 O s gersonitas receberam as seguintes cidades: Do clã da metade da tribo de Manassés, Golã, em Basã, e também Asterote, com suas respectivas pastagens;

Unto the sons of Gershom were given out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, and Ashtaroth with her suburbs:

72 d a tribo de Issacar, Quedes, Daberate,

and out of the tribe of Issachar; Kedesh with her suburbs, Daberath with her suburbs,

73 R amote e Aném, com suas respectivas pastagens;

and Ramoth with her suburbs, and Anem with her suburbs:

74 d a tribo de Aser, Masal, Abdom,

and out of the tribe of Asher; Mashal with her suburbs, and Abdon with her suburbs,

75 H ucoque e Reobe, com suas respectivas pastagens;

and Hukok with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs:

76 e da tribo de Naftali, Quedes, na Galiléia, Hamom e Quiriataim, com suas respectivas pastagens.

and out of the tribe of Naphtali; Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, and Hammon with her suburbs, and Kirjathaim with her suburbs.

77 E estas foram as cidades que os outros meraritas receberam: Da tribo de Zebulom, Rimono e Tabor, com suas respectivas pastagens;

Unto the rest of the children of Merari were given out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmon with her suburbs, Tabor with her suburbs:

78 d a tribo de Rúben, do outro lado do Jordão, a leste de Jericó, Bezer, no deserto, Jaza,

and on the other side Jordan by Jericho, on the east side of Jordan, were given them out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness with her suburbs, and Jahzah with her suburbs,

79 Q uedemote e Mefaate, com suas respectivas pastagens;

Kedemoth also with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs:

80 e da tribo de Gade, Ramote, em Gileade, Maanaim,

and out of the tribe of Gad; Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, and Mahanaim with her suburbs,

81 H esbom e Jazar, com suas respectivas pastagens.

and Heshbon with her suburbs, and Jazer with her suburbs.
