1 B ut Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.

Después edificó Salomón su propia casa en trece años, y la terminó toda.

2 H e built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.

Asimismo edificó la casa «Bosque del Líbano», de cien codos de longitud, cincuenta codos de anchura y treinta codos de altura, sobre cuatro hileras de columnas de cedro, con vigas de cedro sobre las columnas.

3 A nd it was covered with cedar above upon the beams, that lay on forty five pillars, fifteen in a row.

Había una cubierta de tablas de cedro sobre las vigas que se apoyaban en cuarenta y cinco columnas; cada hilera tenía quince columnas.

4 A nd there were windows in three rows, and light was against light in three ranks.

Y había tres hileras de ventanas, una frente a la otra en tres hileras.

5 A nd all the doors and posts were square, with the windows: and light was against light in three ranks.

Todas las puertas y los marcos tenían forma cuadrangular, y unas ventanas estaban frente a las otras en tres hileras.

6 A nd he made a porch of pillars; the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits: and the porch was before them: and the other pillars and the thick beam were before them.

También hizo un pórtico de columnas, que tenía cincuenta codos de largo y treinta codos de ancho. Este pórtico estaba delante de las primeras, con sus columnas y maderos correspondientes.

7 T hen he made a porch for the throne where he might judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the other.

Hizo asimismo el pórtico del trono donde administraría justicia, el pórtico del juicio, y lo recubrió de cedro del suelo al techo.

8 A nd his house where he dwelt had another court within the porch, which was of the like work. Solomon made also an house for Pharaoh’s daughter, whom he had taken to wife, like unto this porch.

La casa donde él vivía, en otro atrio dentro del pórtico, era de una obra de estilo semejante a ésta. Edificó también Salomón para la hija del faraón, a la que había hecho su mujer, una casa de hechura semejante a la del pórtico.

9 A ll these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside toward the great court.

Todas aquellas obras eran de piedras selectas, cortadas y ajustadas con sierras según las medidas, así por dentro como por fuera, desde el cimiento hasta los remates, y asimismo por fuera hasta el gran atrio.

10 A nd the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.

El cimiento era de piedras seleccionadas, piedras grandes, piedras de diez codos y piedras de ocho codos.

11 A nd above were costly stones, after the measures of hewed stones, and cedars.

De allí hacia arriba era también de piedras costosas, labradas conforme a sus medidas, y madera de cedro.

12 A nd the great court round about was with three rows of hewed stones, and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the house of the Lord, and for the porch of the house.

Alrededor del gran atrio había tres hileras de piedras labradas, y una hilera de vigas de cedro, igual que en el atrio interior de la casa de Jehová y el vestíbulo de la Casa. Salomón emplea a Hiram, de Tiro

13 A nd king Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre.

El rey Salomón mandó a buscar de Tiro a Hiram,

14 H e was a widow’s son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding, and cunning to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.

hijo de una viuda de la tribu de Neftalí. Su padre, que trabajaba el bronce, era de Tiro. Hiram estaba lleno de sabiduría, inteligencia y ciencia para toda labor en bronce. Este, pues, se presentó ante el rey Salomón e hizo todas sus obras.

15 F or he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them about.

Vació dos columnas de bronce, cada una de dieciocho codos de altura y doce codos de circunferencia.

16 A nd he made two chapiters of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the height of the one chapiter was five cubits, and the height of the other chapiter was five cubits:

Hizo también dos capiteles de fundición de bronce, para que fueran puestos sobre las cabezas de las columnas. La altura de un capitel era de cinco codos, y la del otro capitel también de cinco codos.

17 a nd nets of checker work, and wreaths of chain work, for the chapiters which were upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one chapiter, and seven for the other chapiter.

Había trenzas a manera de red y unos cordones a manera de cadenas, para los capiteles que se pondrían sobre las cabezas de las columnas; siete para cada capitel.

18 A nd he made the pillars, and two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the chapiters that were upon the top, with pomegranates: and so did he for the other chapiter.

Hizo también dos hileras de granadas alrededor de la red, para recubrir con ellas los capiteles que estaban en las cabezas de las columnas; de la misma forma hizo en el otro capitel.

19 A nd the chapiters that were upon the top of the pillars were of lily work in the porch, four cubits.

Los capiteles que estaban sobre las columnas en el pórtico tenían forma de lirios y eran de cuatro codos.

20 A nd the chapiters upon the two pillars had pomegranates also above, over against the belly which was by the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred in rows round about upon the other chapiter.

Los capiteles de las dos columnas tenían también doscientas granadas en dos hileras alrededor de cada capitel, encima de su globo, el cual estaba rodeado por la red.

21 A nd he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.

Erigió estas columnas en el pórtico del Templo. Cuando alzó la columna del lado derecho le puso por nombre Jaquín, y cuando alzó la columna del lado izquierdo la llamó Boaz.

22 A nd upon the top of the pillars was lily work: so was the work of the pillars finished.

Colocó en las cabezas de las columnas un tallado en forma de lirios, y así se acabó la obra de las columnas. Mobiliario del Templo

23 A nd he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.

Hizo fundir asimismo un mar de diez codos de un lado al otro, perfectamente redondo. Tenía cinco codos de altura y a su alrededor un cordón de treinta codos.

24 A nd under the brim of it round about there were knops compassing it, ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about: the knops were cast in two rows, when it was cast.

Rodeaban aquel mar por debajo de su borde, todo alrededor, unas bolas como calabazas, diez por cada codo, que ceñían el mar en dos filas, las cuales habían sido fundidas junto con el mar.

25 I t stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.

Descansaba sobre doce bueyes, tres miraban al norte, tres miraban al occidente, tres miraban al sur, y tres miraban al oriente. Sobre ellos se apoyaba el mar, y estaban sus patas traseras hacia la parte de adentro.

26 A nd it was an hand breadth thick, and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths.

El grosor del mar era de un palmo menor, y su borde estaba labrado como el borde de un cáliz o de una flor de lis; en él cabían dos mil batos.

27 A nd he made ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth thereof, and three cubits the height of it.

Hizo también diez basas de bronce, cada una de las cuales tenía cuatro codos de longitud, cuatro codos de anchura y tres codos la altura.

28 A nd the work of the bases was on this manner: they had borders, and the borders were between the ledges:

Las basas estaban hechas de esta manera: tenían unos tableros enmarcados entre molduras,

29 a nd on the borders that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubims: and upon the ledges there was a base above: and beneath the lions and oxen were certain additions made of thin work.

y sobre aquellos tableros que estaban entre molduras había figuras de leones, de bueyes y de querubines. Sobre las molduras de la basa, tanto encima como debajo de los leones y de los bueyes, había unas añadiduras de bajo relieve.

30 A nd every base had four brasen wheels, and plates of brass: and the four corners thereof had undersetters: under the laver were undersetters molten, at the side of every addition.

Cada basa tenía cuatro ruedas de bronce, con ejes de bronce, y en sus cuatro esquinas había repisas de fundición que sobresalían de los festones, para venir a quedar debajo de la fuente.

31 A nd the mouth of it within the chapiter and above was a cubit: but the mouth thereof was round after the work of the base, a cubit and an half: and also upon the mouth of it were gravings with their borders, foursquare, not round.

La boca de la fuente entraba un codo en el remate que salía hacia arriba de la basa. La boca era redonda, de la misma hechura del remate, que era de codo y medio. Había también sobre la boca entalladuras con sus tableros, los cuales eran cuadrados, no redondos.

32 A nd under the borders were four wheels; and the axletrees of the wheels were joined to the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.

Las cuatro ruedas estaban debajo de los tableros, y los ejes de las ruedas nacían en la misma basa. La altura de cada rueda era de un codo y medio.

33 A nd the work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their axletrees, and their naves, and their felloes, and their spokes, were all molten.

La forma de las ruedas era como la de las ruedas de un carro; sus ejes, sus rayos, sus cubos y sus cinchos, todo era de fundición.

34 A nd there were four undersetters to the four corners of one base: and the undersetters were of the very base itself.

Asimismo las cuatro repisas de las cuatro esquinas de cada basa; las repisas eran parte de la misma basa.

35 A nd in the top of the base was there a round compass of half a cubit high: and on the top of the base the ledges thereof and the borders thereof were of the same.

En lo alto de la basa había una pieza redonda de medio codo de altura, y encima de la basa sus molduras y tableros, los cuales salían de ella misma.

36 F or on the plates of the ledges thereof, and on the borders thereof, he graved cherubims, lions, and palm trees, according to the proportion of every one, and additions round about.

Grabó en las tablas de las molduras, y en los tableros, entalladuras de querubines, de leones y de palmeras, proporcionalmente al espacio de cada una, y otros adornos alrededor.

37 A fter this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one size.

De esta forma hizo diez basas, fundidas de una misma manera, de una misma medida y de una misma entalladura.

38 T hen made he ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths: and every laver was four cubits: and upon every one of the ten bases one laver.

Hizo también diez fuentes de bronce. Cada fuente contenía cuarenta batos, y cada una era de cuatro codos. Y colocó una fuente sobre cada una de las diez basas.

39 A nd he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward over against the south.

Puso cinco basas a la mano derecha de la Casa y las otras cinco a la mano izquierda, y el mar al lado derecho de la Casa, hacia el sudeste.

40 A nd Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basons. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he made king Solomon for the house of the Lord:

Asimismo hizo Hiram fuentes, tenazas y cuencos. Así terminó toda la obra que hizo a Salomón para la casa de Jehová:

41 t he two pillars, and the two bowls of the chapiters that were on the top of the two pillars; and the two networks, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters which were upon the top of the pillars;

dos columnas y los capiteles redondos que estaban en lo alto de las dos columnas; dos redes que recubrían los dos capiteles redondos que estaban sobre la cabeza de las columnas;

42 a nd four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, even two rows of pomegranates for one network, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that were upon the pillars;

cuatrocientas granadas para las dos redes, dos hileras de granadas en cada red, para recubrir los dos capiteles redondos que estaban sobre las cabezas de las columnas;

43 a nd the ten bases, and ten lavers on the bases;

las diez basas y las diez fuentes sobre las basas;

44 a nd one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea;

un mar, con doce bueyes debajo del mar;

45 a nd the pots, and the shovels, and the basons: and all these vessels, which Hiram made to king Solomon for the house of the Lord, were of bright brass.

calderos, paletas y cuencos. Todos estos utensilios que Hiram hizo al rey Salomón para la casa de Jehová eran de bronce bruñido.

46 I n the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarthan.

Todo lo hizo fundir el rey en la llanura del Jordán, en tierra arcillosa, entre Sucot y Saretán.

47 A nd Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because they were exceeding many: neither was the weight of the brass found out.

Y no preguntó Salomón sobre el peso del bronce de todos los utensilios por la gran cantidad de ellos.

48 A nd Solomon made all the vessels that pertained unto the house of the Lord: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, whereupon the shewbread was,

Entonces hizo Salomón todos los enseres que pertenecían a la casa de Jehová: un altar de oro y una mesa también de oro, sobre la cual estaban los panes de la proposición;

49 a nd the candlesticks of pure gold, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, with the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold,

cinco candelabros de oro purísimo a la mano derecha, y otros cinco a la izquierda, frente al Lugar santísimo, con las flores, las lámparas y tenazas de oro.

50 a nd the bowls, and the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers of pure gold; and the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, to wit, of the temple.

Asimismo los cántaros, despabiladeras, tazas, cucharillas e incensarios, de oro purísimo; también eran de oro los quiciales de las puertas de la casa de adentro, del Lugar santísimo, y los de las puertas del Templo.

51 S o was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the Lord. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated; even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, did he put among the treasures of the house of the Lord.

Así se terminó toda la obra que dispuso hacer el rey Salomón para la casa de Jehová. Salomón llevó lo que su padre David había dedicado, la plata, el oro y los otros utensilios, y lo depositó todo en las tesorerías de la casa de Jehová.
